These kids are growing up REAL fast.
And that feeling must have been in the air this morning, because when Darryl came up from his office for prayer before school, he said the exact same thing I had been thinking since they had been awake.. When did these babies turn into kids?
Chlo was SO thrilled to be going back to her second day of JK, she was packing her indoor shoes and going on about her teacher Mrs. Brown. Carter was carrying his Batman lunch pail around telling us there was a new girl at Kinderclub and he wanted to hold her hand and she had a pretty butterfly shirt. And when the phone rang, Claire instantly put her fist up to her ear and said "Ya". And she said "Uh oh"' when she dropped her spoon and she was the first one to fold her tiny hands for prayer. Who is this kid? Where did my babies go?
When did this happen? When did they get so big that I am sitting here with book orders and hot dog lunch forms and 9 month baby clothes that are too small never to be worn again?????
Let's freeze time, shall we? Yes please.
That is my wish so often. I mostly want to freeze weekends these days. Miss you and your sweet kids.
