My kids would tell you that place is Yogi Bear Jellystone Park. My best friend Melissa runs this camp ground, and makes it so comfortable for us to come and stay there with our kids. Knowing of my lack of love for all things outdoors, she makes things SO nice for us when we come. We stay in a habitat, which is like a little cabin, with electricity, fridge, fan, heater etc. and always decked it out with fun things for my kids and spoils them rotten. Chlo thinks Auntie Melissa lives there with Yogi Bear. It's Melissa's park, Melissa's pool, it's so cute.
There is crafts, hayride, playground, movies, pool, everything you can think of. There is a theme every weekend as well, and we happened to come on St. Patrick's Day. Chlo loved making sparkly shamrocks and swimming with Carter.
I am really grateful for Mel. She has been my best friend for over a decade now, and she is just so wonderful to my kids and my entire family (She always lets my dad come to the campground with my little brother) Her parents are 2 of my favorite people too, and they came to visit us in our habitat too. It's really the best vacation for me, because I got to visit with her whenever I wanted throughout the day. Carter and Chlo loves Auntie Mel for lots of reasons, but 2 main reasons being: 1)She always gives them candy and 2)Because she has a golf cart. They loved sitting on her lap and "driving" the cart.
It was such a fun, relaxing getaway. It was our second year staying overnight, and I look forward to keeping this tradition up.
