Happy Birthday Weaster

I should really call this post busiest weekend for the Regimbal family of all time, because it was insane, but so much fun. We spent Good Friday with Darryl's family and it was so great dying eggs, egg hunting and cookie decorating. We made little Easter treat bags for Chlo's nusery class and little Jesus Christ Quiet Books (which you can download at Sugardoodle.com they are really cute) for the cousins. Darryl also made a DVD copy of our family's easter movie that he made. It is Jeffery R. Holland mormon message on the atonement and a silde show of pictures from the "Reflections of Christ" photographs by Mark Mabry. We have watched that movie Easter Sunday for a couple of years now, and we wanted all of our family to have a copy.

Saturday we did our own Easter traditions and had a lot fun decorating and delivering some cupcakes, watching Tangled (thanks to the Easter Bunny) painted what will be Carter's new room for when after this baby of ours arrives, (for the second time, we hated the first shade of blue we picked once it was on the wall, and decided to to 2 shades of blue, French Navy and Crockery, doesn't that sound pretty) cleaned the chapel with the help of Nana and Grandpa, and had a pizza party afterwards.

Easter Sunday was beautiful, it was Tarter Boy's first day of Nursery, and he loved it, he was so cute in his Easter outfit. After church we went to Gran and Papa's for Easter dinner. The kids loved playing in the backyard with the dog and enjoying the nice weather. It was the first time we had all been together since the wedding last month, so we watched the photographer's slideshow and it was a lot of fun just being together.

Monday we headed out to the Creditview chapel for my good friend's family's Easter celebrations. She was kind enough to have us while Darryl was working, and her Mom is just a hoot. She is a little red-headed Scottish woman just like my Gran, and she had so many fun games and activities for the little kids to do. So many good memories at that chapel from growing up. We we got home, Darryl and I decided to get a baby-siiter and get some things done. We took our old guest bed down to my brother and his wife's apartment in Toronto, picked up chairs at Gran and Papa's in North York to take to my mom and dad's in Bradford, then we got two twin beds from there and brought them back here. It was exausting, but I feel so blessed to have so many loved ones close by to share the holidays.
