Carter is so cute and sweet, but is really showing us all that he does in fact have mind of his own. He likes thing a certain way, especially when it comes to meal time. He is soooo particular about the way you cut, serve, peel, chop, mash his food. It is really ridiculous. And whatever you do, don't interfere. Chloe took one frosted flake out of his bowl and ate it and he threw the whole bowl of cereal right in her face, milk and all. He has such a temper when it comes to things like that. If Chloé touches anything on his plate, his meal is ruined and he sobs like it's the end of the world. All these months I couldn't get him to eat meat, Darryl handed him a whole chicken breast and he ate the entire thing. When he isn't busy eating, he enjoys emptying the pot drawer, putting plastic cutlery in pots and turning the lights on and off. He has never had a soother, but Chloé stuck that in his mouth right before I took the picture. I just adore this little blonde, blue eyed bundle. He is a pure joy (most of the time) and he is walking so well now.
Chloé is as cute and sweet as ever. She loves preschool, playing with her dollies and "packing". She "packs" everything. She gathers her princesses, books, my scrapbooking supplies, hair clips, everything and carts all these bags around in her stroller with her babies. She loves her family and talks about her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all the time. She loves church and nursery a lot too. Today her teacher said she was the first and only kid to identify the prophet and tell everyone his name in their lesson today. She likes to have a lipstick in her scripture case because her cousin Ava does that. She is so compassionate. Anyone ever gets hurt when we are playing she wants to help them right away. I really love that. She is constantly doing this with Carter. If he is crying, she will list off all these things to him that she thinks will make him feel better "Carter you want blankie? bunny? juice?" then she will run and get whatever he wants. It's so sweet. I love that she loves him so much.
We've had a fun few weeks, visits with Ryan, Elaina, Nate and new baby Tyler, helping Dylan move into his place, bridal shower for my new sister-in-law Emily, making pancakes for pancake tues, teaching the kids about the wise man and the foolish man, family dance parties. Lots of good things.
That sums up February, better late than never!
